I spent a few days in LA last week for work. A really exciting project is coming, and I cannot wait to share it with everyone. Until then, you can read my reflections from my time there below.
written on 7/6/16:
this year marks 4 years of my entrepreneurship journey. like, struggle free, stand on my own, business is booming entrepreneurship journey. this wasn't without sacrifice and belief in my capability to be great.
when i quit my 9 to 5, i told myself that i was either going to fly or fail. gratitude to the journey i am on, soaring still. two best-selling books, one journal, and skin care line later—i am here. i am proud. i am deserving. not to mention that i busted my buns to arrive in a place of happiness + self-commitment—it took a lot of work to birth and nurture this creative career. it wasn't easy.
very few people were able to support the vision, initially. not because they didn't believe in me—but because they couldn't wrap their mind around turning "hobbies" into real life passion, brands, and businesses. i had to carry myself through this. the few people, my husband being my biggest cheerleader, who saw me, the vision, and trusted the work—i leaned on them. and still do.
we create our lives. we create our dreams. we are in charge.
with that said, everyone will not see you. your vision will be blurry to them. they will ask questions that may make you question your purpose. stay true to what you KNOW—be OK with what you don't. stay committed to how you feel. work for it while you wait for it. trust your life work. it won't always be easy. it may not ever be easy, but you will be fulfilled.
