Second grade is over. Let the bubble chasing commence! Time has flown by extremely fast for me. Mainly, since for the past eight years, I have watched my little human grow, sprout, and bloom into her own person. My daughter will be a third grader come the end of August, and it blows my mind. Completely. I am so proud of her and myself. She is an amazing little girl.
Normally, we have Char in camp the entire summer. This year we decided to switch it up a bit. She's in camp for one week, dance class on Saturdays, and the rest of the time we plan on winging it. Which, for me, is starting to be ok. At first, I was a little apprehensive about not having consistent plans for her. While my entrepreneurial schedule is flexible, I didn't want her getting bored. I still have to work even when she's home. Thankfully, she's at the age now where she allows me to get things done. Her patience with me is a blessing. I know all work and no play is not an ounce of fun! I've been reminded. The good news is a few of my friends have kids her age. So, I am sure we will find some other fun things to do when mama and me time needs a refresher. i.e., Other children and their mamas.
In the meantime, we plan to enjoy this summer. We have all intentions of sleeping in, eating chocolate chip pancakes every single day (her words, not mine), and exploring outside with each other and of course, bubbles.
