meals last week + random thoughts

I did a lot of cooking last week. However, I am a very bootleg chef. It's rare that i use recipes. Typically, I throw things together and hope the taste good. Eight times out of ten they do. Below are photos of my food. Since I didn't write up any recipes; I am going to post some inspo links that will help you if you want to try your customized variation. Enjoy!

Cooking from scratch has been extremely rewarding for me. i enjoy eating + serving my family high vibration plant based foods. Lately, I've been practicing more mindful eating and making sure that i am warming my body and belly with deliciousness. An acupuncturist told me that consuming warm foods awakens certain parts of our body, including the digestive system. So, cheers to soup. Especially for breakfast! Yum.

Ryan went vegetarian about a month ago. I am (still) shocked, but extremely proud of him! The fact that he did it without any convincing makes watching him journey through plant based eating much more fun and sexy. Experimenting in the kitchen when cooking for our family is way more exciting now, too. I love that we are both herbivores (for the most part, eggs and honey are still a thing) and that I can make food that is fulfilling to his palette.
