daily smoothies are a must for me. especially since i now have a personal trainer + am making a conscious effort not to be so snacky and refined sugar hungry. i use both fruits + veggies in my smoothies, which helps me control my sweet tooth throughout the day. fruit also provides good natural sugars vs. refined ones. winning!
side note: i am on a fitness journey to lose 15-20lbs of fat while gaining muscle and becoming my strongest self. ideally, my goal weight is a lean 125lbs. so far i have made it through 2 weeks of training, 3 days a week of workouts...*by the grace of God*
let me just tell you, i had no idea my body could be so sore! in the past 14 days i've felt muscles ache in places that i no idea were there, lol.
no pain, no gain right? right.
i will be sharing my fitness journey with you guys soon + my trainer. she's amazing! we have some fun stuff coming up this summer too, which i am excited about.
back to smoothies: last week i made quite a few but the two i am sharing today were my favorite. getting creative with the ingredients is so much fun! it's all about trail and error. for instance, i enjoy using coconut water in my smoothies vs. almond milk. unless i am making a 'milkshake' type drink i stay away from almond milk. mainly because veggies and nut milks don't taste great to me when blended.
attached to this post are my fave smoothies from last week! if you give them a try let me know how you like them.
