there comes a time in life where you just have to go with your heart. go with the flow. and enjoy the little things while you can. you might stumble, fall and even fail along the way but that is how lessons are created. that is how experiences are birthed. to me, that is how we find what love really is. the greatest joys in life come from learning + unlearning; alongside finding out what works best for us + how.
everything doesn't have to be by the book or perfect. what is the joy in perfection? coming into adulthood i started to understand, more + more, that flaws are what make things most interesting, most beautiful. one of my biggest obstacles as an adult was learning to relax. fear of doing things wrong is what held me back from even trying to do things right. every single day i learn how to just take a breather, to take life easy + slow.
the older i get the clearer it becomes that i want to enjoy a stress free life. one that doesn't leave me worn out or broken down. there was a time when that so hard for me. functioning normally was absolutely not happening. i'm not sure when my lightbulb went off but when it did there was no looking back. reflecting back to that time in my life, i truly understand that life is the longest short term gift that we are given. from the day we are born the clock is ticking. time is fleeting and circle back, beating us to the finish line each and every tine. however, life isn't a race that can be won. not to mention, it can be taken away in a heart beat. i refuse to waste my days by wallowing in worry. i want to take in every moment i can with the ones i love. so with that being said, here's to cafes with friends and vanilla lattes. enjoy life to the best of your ability.
